    This was never a production item, but there  have been many of these “chopped” heads custom made from the Studio Bass combo. Shares basic schematic design as the Super Twin/Super Twin Reverb. The Studio Bass has a differently tuned EQ section, no bright switch, no distortion/boost, and no reverb. All other sections are the same.

    Thanks for sharing this info RobbieNuke…. I have the un”chopped” version and think I will keep it just the way it is! Oh, I do have fresh matched tubes though.. pre-amp tubes however are original. They seam pretty darn RARE!  Not many to be found… not much information online or anywhere.  Not a great pic (cell – phone) but this is what mine looks like…

    Cabinet is cut to be 9″ H (not including the rubber feet). The W x D are same as stock combo. Presence knob is not a true presence control… just another EQ band! Go figure that one out!
