Model 5E8-A removed the treble section of the tone circuit from the second feedback loop.
I own a ’56. Superb amp. Runs beautiful with Strats (ask Eric Clapton why, his weapon of choice) and even nicer with vintage LesPauls.
Absolutely loving it and will never sell!
you must sell me now!
Hello…I have a question….I recently purchased a 1957 Twin amp from a fellow who had owned it since the mid 1960’s….(and said he had not altered anything since buying it)…It features one Blue Bell Jensen P12Q dated 1955 ….and the other is a Blue Bell Jensen P12R dated 1957…I am aware that both of these type speakers were used in this model amp from 55-57….but my question is…”has there ever been an original amp of this period 1957 seen with both types of Jensen is one amp??? Thank you very much. JM
