FAQ

What Happened to the old Ampwares site?

The old Ampwares website and store, run by Mark Ware seems to have disappeared in the summer of 2008. Like many of you in the vintage amp community, we felt like Ampwares was too great a resource to let vanish for good. When the URL for ampwares.com wasn’t renewed and lay dormant, Mojo decided to buy the name and continue Ampwares. While we have nothing to do with the parts business of the old Ampwares site, Mojo Musical Supply remains dedicated to supplying the highest quality vintage amplifier and guitar replacement parts to consumers, resellers and manufacturers alike.¬†We take pride in providing a good customer experience so if we don’t carry something you want please let us know.

Why does Ampwares look different now?

While we appreciate the effort that Mark Ware put into the old Ampwares we didn’t want to take someone else’s work and call it our own. You may have noticed that the old Ampwares site didn’t change very often and that the format had been the same since 1997. Web development has come a long way since then and we hope to make Ampwares more dynamic and easier to use.
