I have a bunch of old Fender tube amps from 70’s. These are the prettiest sounding of any. The non-verb.
I have a 1970 Princeton-Amp Export. I presume the export means 240 volts. but I can find no reference to this model. Anyone got any ideas? It has a Sound City (charingcross rd, London music shop in the 1970’s) sticker on the back, which is where I got it second hand in 76
I picked up a near mint condition 1977 Silverface Princeton (non-reverb); can anyone point me to an “official” Fender schematic of the circuitry? The AB1270 circuit your page references is for the reverb model.
Any info greatly appreciated, I dearly love this amp…
having the same problem.. have you had any luck?
Tengo un Silverface `71 el sonido es impresionante y eso que mi guitarra no ayuda mucho.
Just picked a Princeton non-reverb for $100. It’s very dirty. Probably stored in a basement or garage.
It was missing the two 6v6gt’s. Lord know what else it will need. I’m digging into it this weekend.
But interestingly, the two transformers I could read both have a date of 46th week of 1980. The chassis starts with an F0 which also represents a 1980 production date.
Also, no push/pull bright volume knob.
Still searching for the schematics.
There was never a pull boost on the Non-reverb Princeton.
