Serial number 2892, any idea when it was made ?
It would appear to be around 1993~early 1994.. but then again, the Vibro-Kings were one of the amps that flew under the radar, and s/n dating for these amps are a guess at best….
you can easily find the manufacture year by looking at the tag inside the amp. There will be a number and a letter. Take that information and get over to the Fender website. It will tell you what year the amp was made and what month. You can’t tell from the serial number. Serial number dating is not the way to get the age of these amps. It’s not even ‘a guess at best’. That’s just not the way you date them.
You have to date by the small silver inspection sticker in the box under the tube chart. There is a two letter code first is year starting with A in 1990 and then for month. Mine is an EG, or 1994, July. As far as SN, mine is 1064, so this one may be from the late 1990’s
Mine is FA or January 1995
Serial number is 1234, not kidding, that is correct.
Mine is FA, SN 1289
I have see 2373 what year do you all think?
Mine is DK November 1993, serial 0355
Mine is ED April 1994, serial 0657
