Comments: Deluxe amps with the field coil speakers had the output transformers mounted on the chassis. When Fender switched to fixed magnet speakers some time in 1947 the output transformer was mounted on the speaker basket.
I have one also! Any idea what these are worth???
The Pre-amp tubes on this model were a 6SC7 for the first gain stage and a 6N7 for phase inverter. Not two 6SN7’s as on the page. This was a common circuit for 40’s amps and was found with some slight variations in some Valco made amps of the day.
I have one in for repair that has a 7F7 preamp tube. The P.I. is a 6N7 and the output tubes are 6K6GT/G.
